Dedicated Kate Kaye Receives British Empire Medal Honour

That the Parliament warmly congratulates Kate Kaye on being presented with the British Empire Medal (BEM) at a ceremony in the Burns Room at the Globe in Dumfries, which was attended by her family and many friends; recognises that the renowned Burnsian and Dalbeattie grandmother was awarded the honour by His Majesty The King in the New Year Honours after dedicating more than five decades to early years education, including 51 years at Kelton Nursery in Castle Douglas, while continuing to work part-time at Glenlochar Nursery in Crossmichael; acknowledges that the honour was bestowed on Kate, a member of Dumfries Ladies No. 1 Burns Club, by HM Lord Lieutenant of The Stewartry of Kirkcudbright, The Lord Sinclair, and wishes her continued success and happiness in the coming years.
