Celebrating the Latin American Community Association of Edinburgh

That the Parliament celebrates the work of the Latin American Community Association of Edinburgh (LACAE) in preserving and promoting Latin American culture across Edinburgh and Scotland; recognises LACAE’s vital role in building bridges between the Latin American diaspora and the wider Scottish community; commends its work in bringing together communities from across all Latin American countries under a shared celebration of culture and identity, while continuing to expand engagement with both established and underrepresented groups; acknowledges what it sees as the enriching contribution of the Latin American community to Scotland’s cultural life; recognises LACAE’s collaboration with other community groups and charities in its ambition to develop into a national hub celebrating diverse cultures, and calls on the Scottish Government to continue supporting grassroots multicultural organisations that strengthen community cohesion and celebrate Scotland’s diversity.
