That the Parliament congratulates Soenaid Anderson, the organising committee and all the volunteers involved in organising an It's A Knockout community fundraising event, which was recently held at Stewartry Rugby Club, Greenlaw, Castle Douglas, in support of the charity, Breakthrough T1D; recognises the outstanding efforts of the 24 local teams, participants, sponsors, vendors, entertainers and spectators who came together to make the event such a success; understands that the event not only raised vital funds for research into, and support for, those living with Type 1 diabetes, but also helped raise awareness of the condition and the assistance available to affected individuals and families; commends Soenaid for a decade of dedicated fundraising, which has been inspired by her daughter Maisie's diagnosis with Type1 diabetes, and acknowledges her hope that the cumulative total raised by the event will surpass £50,000; expresses its thanks to Stewartry Rugby Club, local businesses, performers, prize donors and supporters for their contribution to the day, and wishes Breakthrough T1D, its volunteers and supporters every success in their continuing efforts to improve the lives of people living with Type 1 diabetes and work towards a cure.
