That the Parliament congratulates pupils at Oldmachar Academy, who, following success at the Grampian regional finals in March 2026, were named winners of the Young Enterprise Scotland National Finals; understands that the pupils impressed the judges with what it considers to be their innovative business concept, Cultura, which is a multi-cultural cookbook celebrating diverse cuisines and stories from communities across Aberdeen; believes that the team demonstrated not only strong product development, but also a savvy marketing strategy, leveraging social media influencers to build awareness and demand; notes that, in addition to their digital campaigns, students actively promoted and sold their product by attending local fairs and events across Aberdeen, helping them to connect with customers and grow their brand organically; understands that the team’s success has been underpinned by guidance from their teacher, Emma Morrison, who was also recognised at the finals with the prestigious Educator of the Year Award, highlighting her dedication, mentorship and commitment to nurturing the entrepreneurial skills and confidence of her students throughout the programme; further understands that the team will now head to the UK Young Enterprise Finals, which take place in Cardiff on 3 June 2026; commends the pupils for all their hard work and efforts, and wishes them all the best for the UK finals.
