That the Parliament celebrates the news that the charity, Friends of ANCHOR, has raised a record total of £419,831 from its annual Brave and Courage on the Catwalk events, which took place in May 2026; understands that the organisation exists to support patients of the local Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy (ANCHOR) unit by investing in equipment and providing wellbeing services; notes that the Brave and Courage on the Catwalk fashion shows featured 54 local men and women who have all had cancer or a blood disorder throughout their lives, with each of them showcasing outfits from a variety of local retailers; commends the strength and resilience of the participants in their goal to support others with cancer; acknowledges that the 2026 events attracted a record number of attendees, with 3,800 guests attending across four shows; commemorates the work put in by the 310 volunteers who helped to run the shows, and hopes that future iterations of the Brave and Courage on the Catwalk shows raise further funds to support those most in need.
