Scotland Loves Local Week 2026

That the Parliament recognises the important work of Scotland’s Towns Partnership, the organisation that spearheads the Scotland Loves Local campaign, including the annual Scotland Loves Local Week; appreciates that in 2026, Scotland Loves Local week will take place between 13 and 20 June; notes that the campaign was launched to encourage people, businesses, organisations and communities to think local first and to support the places where they live, work and spend time; acknowledges that since its launch, the campaign has become a movement recognised nationally, celebrating the vital role that our local high streets, town centres, independent businesses, social enterprises and community organisations play in Scotland’s economic, social and cultural wellbeing; applauds the 2026 theme, Flying the Flag for Local Businesses, to connect with Scotland playing in the World Cup; recognises the importance of people in Scotland flying the flag for all their local businesses and the people behind them, and appreciates the opportunity provided by Scotland Loves Local Week to support, celebrate and champion the people, places and businesses that make communities across Scotland unique.
