That the Parliament congratulates Jane Maciver on completing her charity challenge to walk the length of the Western Isles with her dog, Dooker, in aid of the local Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI); understands that over the course of nine days from 1 May 2026, Jane walked a total of 169 miles to raise over £13,000 for the local branch of the RNLI; believes that the RNLI provides critical life-saving services for coastal communities around Scotland through the efforts of highly trained volunteers; notes that the Stornoway Lifeboat Station, which has served the seas around the West of Scotland since its establishment in 1887, is crewed by volunteers who provide a 24-hour search and rescue service; believes that Jane's fundraising efforts will support the ongoing effort to save lives; acknowledges that the crews operating the Stornoway-based vessel, the Tom Sanderson, have to undertake rescues in some of the most challenging waters in Scotland; notes that Jane has shown tremendous dedication to supporting the RNLI efforts, and commends Jane and the RNLI crews and volunteers for their services to the Western Isles.
