That the Parliament welcomes the news that NHS Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank has become the largest centre for hip and knee replacements in the UK; understands that, in the period from 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, more than 4,300 such procedures were performed at the hospital, surpassing all other UK centres; further understands that this represents a 29.6% increase on the previous year’s figures; believes that it is currently on track to exceed this year’s number with 5,900 hip and knee replacements from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, and commends everyone at the Golden Jubilee for this fantastic achievement as it continues to provide world-class treatment to patients while also continually improving its target numbers.
