That the Parliament expresses its great sadness at the sudden passing of Unite regional officer, George Ramsay; notes George’s work in Unite Construction, Allied Trades and Technicians (UCATT) and across the construction industry, fighting for workers' rights, conditions and safety in the workplace; further notes George’s role establishing an annual International Workers' Memorial Day ceremony in Angus; recognises with admiration George’s roles in the community as a long-serving delegate and member of the Executive Committee of Dundee Trades Union Council, and as the longest-serving committee member of Dundee Violet JFC; pays tribute to George’s dedication to the cause of the labour and trade union movement in Dundee and across Scotland, and to the values of dignity, solidarity, and justice, and offers its deepest condolences to his family, friends, comrades, and colleagues at this time.
