That the Parliament congratulates Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary after it led the nation in caring for hip fractures in the Public Health Scotland annual Scottish Hip Fracture Audit, which tracks the treatment of fractures in hospitals across the country, looking at how often they occur, how well they are treated and what the eventual outcome is for each patient; understands that the audit's findings recognise the best hospital in Scotland for care and treatment to earn the Golden Hip award; believes that this award is tremendous and a very welcome honour of the good work carried out across Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary by offering the highest standard of care for hip fracture patients and supporting care at every stage of that journey, and wishes the medical staff continued success as it leads the way for other hospitals to follow.
