That the Parliament welcomes the National Lottery Heritage Fund’s announcement of £670,000 in development funding for the Loch Lomond and Trossachs Landscape Connections project; recognises that this funding is the first stage in a potential £9.77 million award from the Heritage Fund; understands that the funding will support the development of an eight-year programme to restore some of Scotland’s rarest woodlands; notes that local communities will be involved in designing and delivering the project; acknowledges the role of the Heritage Fund, which, since 1994, has invested over £1 billion in Scotland’s heritage, including over £14.5 million across 80 projects in Dumbarton, and commends those involved in revitalising historic buildings, celebrating Scotland’s industrial legacy and protecting outstanding landscapes.
