That the Parliament congratulates the team at Milngavie and Bearsden Swimming Club for finishing first in the Scottish Swimming National League Division B; recognises the dedication of staff and volunteers, which allows young swimmers to achieve such successes; acknowledges what it sees as the necessity of improving the statistics of only one in four children being able to swim a length of a pool by the time that they leave primary school; notes the important role that swimming clubs play in encouraging children to learn to swim; celebrates individual and team success at national and international levels of competition, and understands what it sees as the importance of Scottish Swimming in supporting local clubs to deliver vital life skills, confidence in water and sporting success across Scotland.
