That the Parliament congratulates the North Lanarkshire Mòd Committee on receiving the Adult Learners’ Gaelic Award from Scotland’s Learning Partnership; recognises that the award reflects what it sees as the committee’s outstanding contribution to Gaelic learning, culture and community engagement; notes that many members were new to both Gaelic and organising a Mòd; commends them for successfully delivering North Lanarkshire’s first local Mòd in September 2025, uniting the community to celebrate Gaelic culture, music and poetry; acknowledges their creation of volunteering, skill development and participation opportunities; recognises their role in strengthening Gaelic language and culture locally, building confidence among adult learners and supporting engagement with Gaelic; highlights the importance of community organisations in promoting language, culture and the National Gaelic Language Plan; acknowledges participation in culture as a human right, and encourages continued efforts to promote Gaelic across North Lanarkshire.
