That the Parliament congratulates all the finalists of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award 2026, including Calum McGregor, Craig Harrison, Ewen Rorie, Gregor Niven and Iona Fyfe, and warmly congratulates winner Rachel Groves; notes that these exceptional young artists represent a diverse range of Scottish instruments and vocal traditions and competed for this prestigious title on 1 February 2026, providing a celebrated platform to showcase their talents and achievements to date within Scotland’s traditional music scene; recognises Rachel Groves’ accomplishments as a clarsach player, composer, teacher and leader of the Scolty Harp Ensemble, and appreciates the role of BBC Radio Scotland in supporting and promoting Scotland’s leading young traditional musicians.
