That the Parliament congratulates Sainsbury’s on its accessible toilets, which have been stoma friendly since 2017; further congratulates Morrisons on its recent commitment to making toilets in its stores UK-wide accessible and stoma friendly, and Lidl, which has agreed to implement Colostomy UK’s guidelines for toilets in its new store specification from the next financial year onwards; understands that these stoma-friendly requirements for toilets involve the installation of a shelf, a hook, a mirror and a bin, all of which can be fitted at minimal cost, and notes the calls encouraging all supermarkets in the Highlands and Islands and across Scotland to make these small adjustments so that their toilets are stoma friendly, to make the lives of stoma users everywhere easier and happier.
