That the Parliament congratulates The Foraging Goat, which is on Haddington High Street, on being named one of six finalists in the Local Food/Drink category of the Scottish Countryside Alliance Awards; notes that the business, founded less than three years ago by Cath and Tony Taverner and employing six people, has been nominated following a customer submission; recognises the shop’s contribution to East Lothian’s food culture through its seasonal larder of high-quality local produce and homemade goods; acknowledges that the regional winners will go on to a prestigious reception at the UK Parliament in July 2026 before the overall champions are announced, and commends the business for flying the flag for East Lothian at a national level.
