That the Parliament notes with concern the reported rise in racist and far-right incidents connected to refugees and asylum seekers being accommodated in Aberdeen and across the North East Scotland region; further notes with concern what it sees as the disruption and danger to local communities caused by anti-refugee and anti-migrant protests organised by what it believes are far-right groups; believes that the increase in such disruption and aggression represents a significant threat to community cohesion and wellbeing; pays tribute to the numerous organisations, charities, faith groups and individual volunteers who work to ensure that all people are welcomed, sheltered and safe, and expresses its solidarity with refugees and people seeking asylum in the North East Scotland region and across the UK.
