That the Parliament notes the annual sportscotland Scottish Sport Awards 2025; understands that these awards are a celebration of sport at all levels, from grassroots to high performance nationally and internationally; congratulates all winners for their achievements; further congratulates Team Mouat on being named Team of the Year; notes that Team Mouat is a curling team based at The Peak in Stirling; believes that the team has been recognised for the dominance that it has achieved over a sustained year at a global level, with its success hailed as historic; understands that in the course of a single season, it became the first team ever to win four tournaments in the Grand Slam of Curling; congratulates team members Bruce Mouat, Hammy McMillan, Bobby Lammie and Grant Hardie for their incredible success; understands that they were recognised for their work in raising curling’s profile; congratulates the team’s coach, Michael Goodfellow, for winning the High Performance Coach of the Year award; understands that Michael was praised for the culture of trust, resilience and relentless pursuit of excellence that he has built, and the huge amount of empathy and experience he brings to the role; further understands that he has been recognised as an exceptional ambassador for Scottish coaching and an inspiration to many; offers huge congratulations for these incredible successes, and wishes the team the very best for their next season.
