That the Parliament commends Rosamund Carmichael, a long-standing resident of Bearsden Cross, for her five years of dedicated leadership of Bearsden in Bloom (BIB); notes that she will shortly retire as chairperson; recognises that she is a passionate gardener and highly knowledgeable plantswoman, who has played a pivotal role in transforming Bearsden into a vibrant and welcoming community space; acknowledges that the idea for BIB was born during lockdown; appreciates Rosamund's vision and determination in turning this challenge into an opportunity for community action; notes that under her guidance, BIB has consistently earned the Outstanding Awards from the In Your Neighbourhood initiative over several years; applauds her for being instrumental in building a professional and sustainable organisation, securing grants, recruiting volunteers, organising social events and coordinating efforts to ensure that Bearsden looks beautiful throughout the year, and extends heartfelt gratitude to Rosamund for her exceptional service and commitment to Bearsden, noting that her legacy will continue to bloom for years to come.
