Founder of Car 4U Anne McDonald Awarded a British Empire Medal

That the Parliament congratulates Anne McDonald on being awarded a British Empire Medal in His Majesty The King's New Year Honours List 2026 for services to people with cancer in Falkirk; recognises that Anne is the founder and chairperson of Car 4U, a charity that provides free transport for people with cancer in the Polmont and Braes area; further recognises that, since 2016, Car 4U has helped those receiving cancer treatment who are registered with Meadowbank Health Centre in Polmont to travel to and from hospital appointments; acknowledges that, by providing this important service, Anne and the trustees and volunteers of Car 4U aim to remove the stress and financial burden of travelling to receive treatment for those who have received a cancer diagnosis; commends Anne for her hard work in the community; congratulates her once again on her award, and wishes her and the team at Car 4U all the very best in the future.
