That the Parliament congratulates Catherine McGrath of Kilsyth on receiving the Benemerenti Medal from Pope Leo XIV for her exceptional service to the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF) and the Catholic Church; notes her 20 years of volunteering following a long career as a French and German teacher, during which she has supported schools across Scotland in learning about global poverty and SCIAF’s work; recognises the high regard in which Catherine is held by colleagues and pupils alike; appreciates her compassion, humility and dedication to serving others, and wishes her well as she continues her valued contribution to the community.
