That the Parliament congratulates Inverclyde nurses, Gemma McGregor, clinical nurse specialist team lead at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and Donna Mitchell, district nurse team leader at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, on being awarded the prestigious Queen’s Nurse title; notes that this honour has been awarded to 18 community nurses from across Scotland who successfully completed the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) nine-month development programme in 2025; understands that the programme includes residential and online workshops alongside individual coaching sessions and requires participants to lead a development project designed to have a significant positive impact on those they care for, with a strong focus on promoting equity and inclusion; acknowledges what it sees as the vital role played by community nurses in delivering high-quality, compassionate care within communities across Scotland; commends QNIS, as a Scottish charity, for its ongoing work to support and develop the professional skills of community nurses and midwives, and wishes Gemma, Donna and all those recognised with the Queen’s Nurse title continued success in their careers and in their contribution to outstanding patient care.
