That the Parliament congratulates Jimmy Buchan on being appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the New Year Honours List; recognises his longstanding contribution to Scotland’s seafood sector, including his leadership within the industry and his advocacy for sustainable fishing; acknowledges what it sees as the positive impact of his work in promoting the north east’s fishing communities and supporting local employment, and wishes him continued success in his future endeavours.
