That the Parliament congratulates Mr Robert James “Rab” Moran of Haddington on being awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours for his services to the community of Haddington, East Lothian; understands that Mr Moran has given many years of dedicated voluntary service across a range of local initiatives, helping to improve the environment through his work with community gardening and Blooming Haddington, supporting social inclusion activities such as Our Community Kitchen, and playing an active role in the Haddington and District Community Council, as well as assisting at local events and projects that benefit residents of all ages; believes that his tireless commitment reflects the best of civic spirit and volunteerism in communities across Scotland; commends him for his significant contribution to enhancing the quality of life in Haddington, and wishes him well in his continuing community endeavours.
