That the Parliament congratulates the Dumfries Accordion and Fiddle Club on marking its 60th anniversary at the Hole I’ the Wa’, which is the venue where the club first began; recognises the club’s longstanding contribution to traditional Scottish music and the local musicians who have kept the group thriving; notes the involvement of past and present members who gathered along with special guests to celebrate the milestone with performances and speeches; acknowledges the dedication of volunteers and supporters who help sustain the club’s activities, and wishes the Dumfries Accordion and Fiddle Club continued success as it promotes live traditional music in the Dumfriesshire community for many years to come.
