That the Parliament congratulates Peebles resident Kathy Gilchrist on being named one of the UK’s Top 100 Women in Cycling; recognises her outstanding contribution to the sport in Scotland and internationally; notes that she was the first woman to chair the board of Scottish Cycling and later became its first female president, helping to open doors for women in sporting leadership; acknowledges her earlier work in the United States, where she managed a velodrome and helped to establish the National Collegiate Cycling Association; welcomes her continued service as a trustee of the Scottish Cycling Foundation; celebrates her long-standing commitment to supporting young riders and strengthening the future of cycling in Scotland, and commits to supporting women in cycling.
