That the Parliament congratulates and commends the cast, crew, organisers and all involved in the production of Aberdeen Remembers, which took place on 2 November 2025 at Aberdeen Music Hall; notes that the special commemorative concert was a fitting and tribute to North East Scotland’s wartime heroes and also a unique and emotional community-focused event to mark the 80 years that have passed since the end of the Second World War; recognises the enormous sacrifices made by the Gordon Highlanders in that conflict and in others since, which were recognised at the heart of the production; expresses its thanks to the many talented performers for their contribution to this event through music, drama, photographs and memories of Aberdeen during both wartime and in times of peace, particularly the Bon-Accord Silver Band, singer, Seonaid Aitken, solo piper, Fraser Maitland, the Robert Gordon’s College Pipe Band, fiddle player, Paul Anderson, and Albacappella choir, and applauds the area's charities, The Gordon Highlanders Museum and the St Margaret’s Trust, in co-producing such a memorable, poignant and uplifting concert.
