That the Parliament congratulates NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital on its recent annual review, which, it believes, once again shows that it is one of the best hospitals in Scotland; notes that during the review it was announced that the hospital completed 119,848 inpatient, day case and diagnostic procedures; further notes that 100% of lung cancer patients were treated within the 31-day target; understands that the hospital also had the UK’s highest transplant rate per million population with 29 heart transplants; further understands that interventional cardiology doubled transcatheter aortic valve implantation capacity by treating 449 patients and that endoscopy capacity increased by 4.4% to 8,842; recognises that orthopaedic capacity had a 29% increase in joint replacements with 6,223 surgeries, and that 11,889 cataract procedures were carried out; welcomes that 90% of patients were treated within the 12-week treatment time guarantee, and acknowledges all the staff who work at the hospital for their hard work and dedication that has made what it sees as these tremendous results possible.
