That the Parliament congratulates Glen Oaks Housing Association on the unveiling of what it sees as a powerful new mural; understands that the Glasgow-based artist RogueOner has deep personal ties to the area through his father, a long-serving and much-respected former board member of the association; notes that the mural features a striking image of an oak tree, with the windows of a local tenement woven into its branches, capturing the spirit of Glen Oaks as a place where homes and community are deeply rooted; further notes that at the tree’s base is a young boy planting, a symbol of what it believes to be growth, hope and the future that Glen Oaks is committed to nurturing, reflecting its values and ongoing dedication to creating more than just homes, but rather building communities where people can truly thrive; recognises that the project was made possible thanks to a generous donation from BT and community benefit contributions from a previous housing development with AS Homes; acknowledges that Glen Oaks continues to stand strong as a steady anchor for the people and communities it serves, and commends everyone at Glen Oaks on their ongoing hard work and dedication to the local community.
