Phoenix Abbey to Open New Children's Home in Midlothian

That the Parliament congratulates Phoenix Abbey, which is a leading residential children’s care provider, on the upcoming opening of its new children’s home in Midlothian; believes that this development represents a continued commitment to providing high-quality, trauma-informed and relationship-based care for children and young people who are looked after away from home; notes that Phoenix Abbey’s approach aligns with the ambitions of The Promise, ensuring that children grow up feeling loved, safe and respected, with access to stability, nurturing relationships and opportunities to thrive; acknowledges the significant investment that Phoenix Abbey has made in the local community through the creation of new skilled employment opportunities and the establishment of a therapeutic and child-centred environment designed to meet complex emotional and developmental needs; welcomes Phoenix Abbey’s emphasis on collaboration with local authorities, education partners and health services to deliver integrated, rights-based support, and wishes Phoenix Abbey every success as it continues to expand what it sees as compassionate, professional and high-standard residential care provision across Scotland.
