Congratulating Cameron May of Dillarburn on Winning the Pìobaireachd Premier and A-Grade Piping Title at the 2025 Royal National Mòd

That the Parliament congratulates Cameron May, of Dillarburn, on winning the Pìobaireachd Premier and A-Grade Piping title at the 2025 Royal National Mòd in Fort William; notes that this prestigious achievement came after outstanding performances in the piobaireachd, march, Strathspey and reel categories at what is widely regarded as one of Scotland’s most important Gaelic cultural events; recognises Cameron’s long-standing dedication to piping since beginning lessons with his father, Robin, at the age of 10, as well as his contribution as Pipe Sergeant of the Coalburn IOR Pipe Band; notes his ongoing work with Airdrie pipers Connor Jardine and Dan Nevans to research and preserve the music of the Lanarkshire-based Cameronians army regiment, and celebrates the success of Cameron and others who are helping to maintain and promote Scotland’s piping and Gaelic traditions for future generations.
