Clarkston and Newton Mearns Businesses Nominated for Top Fish and Chip Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Buon Appetito and Hook Fish & Chips in Eastwood on being nominated for a number of top prizes at the Scottish Fish and Chip Awards 2025; notes that Buon Appetito in Clarkston has been nominated for the Best Family Business, Best Fish Supper in the West and Best Pizza awards; further notes that Hook Fish & Chips in Newton Mearns has been nominated in the categories of Best Fish Supper in the West and Best Menu; believes that the nominations received by both Eastwood businesses mean that they are considered to be among the best fish and chip shops in Scotland; further believes that the Scottish Fish and Chip Awards are the largest trade event in Scotland's fish and chips industry; recognises that the awards gala final will take place at a Glasgow city centre venue, the DoubleTree by Hilton, on 10 November, and wishes Buon Appetito, Hook Fish & Chips and all other finalists the very best of luck at the November awards ceremony.
