That the Parliament notes World Teachers’ Day on 5 October 2025, an occasion established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to celebrate the essential role that teachers play in shaping individuals and societies; recognises what it considers to be the tireless efforts of educators in Scotland and worldwide in fostering learning, critical thinking, and personal development; acknowledges what it sees as the challenges that teachers face, including increasing workloads and the evolving demands of modern education, and affirms what it regards as the importance of investing in teachers, supporting their professional development, and ensuring that they have the resources that they need to provide quality education for all students.
