That the Parliament congratulates Maciej Herman, a bus driver who works for McGill’s Johnstone depot, on finishing third overall in the UK Bus Driver of the Year competition, while also being named best driver in Scotland; understands that Maciej, who is originally from Poland, moved to Scotland 18 years ago and joined the McGill’s group in 2015 as a trainee driver; notes that after his training period, he earnt his PCV licence and CPC qualification; acknowledges that Maciej, who is a well admired driver by both colleagues and the public, achieved success in McGill’s Group’s in-house regional heat earlier in 2025, which secured him a spot in the national competition held in Blackpool; commends him on his technical ability, which he displayed against other drivers from across the UK, competing in a challenging programme of events that included on-road course manoeuvres and a rigorous theory exam, and further commends Maciej on his deserved victory, as well as his continued commitment to serving the people of Johnstone.
