80th Anniversary of Callander and District Young Farmers’ Club

That the Parliament congratulates Callander and District Young Farmers’ Club (YFC) on reaching its 80th anniversary in 2025; notes that, since its establishment in 1945, the club has been at the heart of rural life in the Trossachs, bringing together generations of young people with an interest in farming, food production and the countryside; recognises the club’s longstanding contribution to the local community through fundraising, volunteering, agricultural shows and social events, as well as its role in developing skills and lifelong friendships among its members; commends Callander and District YFC for promoting Scotland’s rural heritage and sustaining opportunities for young people in agriculture over eight decades; celebrates this important milestone, and wishes the club, its members past and present, and the wider young farmers movement continued success in the years ahead.
