That the Parliament congratulates South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership, in collaboration with the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre and its technology partner Care Messenger, which have cooperated to make David Walker Gardens Care Home in Rutherglen the first in the UK to be fully equipped in every room with Smart Chatta TVs; understands that this technology enables TVs to be used for video calls and photo sharing, which allows residents to communicate with friends and family across the globe, helping them to maintain contact and to share in family events; believes that this helps to reduce loneliness, maintain relationships and emotional closeness, and acknowledges that this technology will also be rolled out to rooms in the Blantyre LIFE estate by the end of September 2025.
