That the Parliament congratulates Wallyford Gala on receiving £8,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund; acknowledges what it sees as the Gala’s longstanding contribution to community spirit and cohesion in Wallyford; highlights the vital role such events can play in supporting the economy, particularly in areas facing multiple deprivation, by creating opportunities for small businesses, performers and volunteers; commends the organisers for their commitment to delivering an inclusive and uplifting celebration that benefits residents and visitors of all ages to the village, of all ages, and extols the volunteers from the village, who, it believes, give so generously of their time and skills throughout the year to make the event the huge success it is.
