That the Parliament congratulates the Montrose Basin Wildlife Reserve and Visitor Centre as it celebrates its 30th anniversary; recognises what it sees as the vital role the centre has played since its opening in promoting conservation, education, and engagement with Scotland’s rich natural heritage; commends the efforts of the Scottish Wildlife Trust and all those who have supported the reserve over the past three decades; gives special thanks to long-serving volunteers Andy Wakelin, Joyce Cooper and Jane Stewart; recognises the centre’s success in attracting visitors from across Scotland and beyond to experience the unique beauty and biodiversity of the Montrose Basin, including its internationally important population of migratory birds, and wishes the centre, its staff, and volunteers continued success in the years ahead as they inspire future generations to protect and enjoy Scotland’s natural environment.
