That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the second Lanarkshire Climate Action Festival, which is a pan-Lanarkshire festival celebrating positive climate action; recognises the success of the inaugural festival in 2024, where over 2,500 people attended around 70 events organised by community organisations in collaboration with the Lanarkshire Climate Action Hub, which is funded by the Scottish Government; understands that this year’s programme includes a wide variety of events, including a Harvest Hoedown at Clydesmill Community Garden, a sustainable family fashion show in Cambuslang, "lunchtime superheroes" ranger sessions at Fernbrae Meadows, a Green Together family fun day at James Aiton Primary School, autism-friendly environmental Bookbug sessions in local libraries, Winter Warmer Land information sessions in Whitlawburn and a Cycle a Mile for Climate Action event at Clyde Cycle Park; commends the organisers of the festival for their continued efforts to start local climate conversations and raise interest in climate action, and wishes them every success in their ongoing work with communities.
