Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the North East of Scotland Music School

That the Parliament celebrates the 50th anniversary of the North East of Scotland Music School (NESMS), founded in 1975 by the late Dorothy Hately MBE and June, Lady Aberdeen, as a centre of excellence for advanced musical tuition in north east Scotland; commends NESMS for maintaining its ethos of providing world-class instruction; notes that NESMS now serves 100-120 students monthly from Aberdeen City and Shire, across 12 instruments and voice; recognises the anniversary events, including a concert at Cowdray Hall, masterclasses and a civic reception, and wishes NESMS, its staff, students, and supporters continued success in nurturing musical talent for future generations.
