That the Parliament congratulates Elmwood Nursery in Newton Mearns on receiving a positive inspection report from Education Scotland; understands that staff from Education Scotland visited the nursery in May and found a number of strengths, including that the young people who attend the early years setting are confident, happy and settle well in what is a nurturing environment, and the manager and practitioners have developed effective working relationships and know all of the children as individuals; further understands that the practitioners formulating a stimulating environment with creative designs to encourage children to enthusiastically engage with both indoor and outdoor learning has also been identified as a strength at Elmwood Nursery; acknowledges that, based on the inspection, Education Scotland graded the early years centre as good on the two quality indicators of learning, teaching and assessment and securing children's progress, and believes that, over recent years, a considerable number of nurseries and schools in Eastwood have received a strong set of results from an Education Scotland inspection, including Elmwood Nursery, Williamwood High, St Joseph's Primary, St Cadoc's Primary and Nursery, Kirkhill Primary, Braidbar Primary and Nursery Class and the Hazeldene Family Learning Centre.
