  • Submitted by: Michelle Thomson, Falkirk East, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 02 July 2025
  • Motion reference: S6M-18201

That the Parliament congratulates the P6 class at Wallacestone Primary School on being named the winners of Scottish Water’s 2025 Make a Splash Challenge as part of its Generation H2O Programme; understands that Scottish Water hosted a campaign poster competition focused on encouraging young people to protect the future of Scotland’s water; notes that Anna Lynas of the P6 class at Wallacestone Primary School came out on top from a total of 246 entries from 18 schools across Scotland; further notes that the class was rewarded for its win with a trip to the National Swimming Academy at the University of Stirling, which included a water safety course, a fun session and a personalised video from Scotland’s most decorated Olympian, Duncan Scott; recognises what it sees as the value of education programmes, such as the Generation H2O Programme, that focus on ensuring Scotland’s young people are water responsible citizens, and congratulates everyone involved on their success.
