Congratulating Justina Murray on Her Appointment as the New Chief Executive of Aberlour Children’s Charity

That the Parliament congratulates Justina Murray on her appointment as the new chief executive of Aberlour Children’s Charity; notes that Justina brings over 30 years of experience in the public and third sectors, having most recently led Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (Scottish Families) since 2017; recognises what it sees as Justina’s transformative leadership at Scottish Families, where she introduced innovative programmes and significantly expanded the charity’s reach, profile and income; acknowledges her deep-rooted commitment to social justice and improving the lives of families across Scotland; commends Aberlour, the largest, solely Scottish, children's charity, for its ongoing efforts to beat poverty and discrimination and to make rights real for children, young people and families; welcomes warmly Justina as she succeeds SallyAnn Kelly OBE, who has led Aberlour with distinction for 11 years; thanks SallyAnn for what it sees as her exceptional service and unwavering dedication to the third sector, and wishes Justina every success as she takes up her new role in autumn 2025, during Aberlour’s milestone 150th year.
