That the Parliament congratulates the Hippodrome in Bo’ness on being named Scotland’s best cinema; understands that the Hippodrome, which is now operated by Falkirk Council, first opened on 11 March 1912 and recently celebrated its 112th anniversary in 2024; recognises that the title of best cinema in Scotland followed research by video production company, Wonderpunch, which assessed 65 cinemas across Scotland based on their Tripadvisor ratings and reviews; understands that the Hippodrome achieved an average rating of 4.61 out of 5, making it the highest-rated cinema in the country, with more than 80% of its reviews coming up as five stars, and congratulates the Hippodrome, which it considers to be an iconic cinema with a rich local history, on being named the best cinema in Scotland.
