That the Parliament commends the achievement of Glasgow Women’s Library (GWL) as the first library in Scotland to receive Library of Sanctuary status; notes that this prestigious honour is awarded to libraries that go to great lengths to create welcoming, inclusive and empowering spaces for people who have experienced forced displacement; further notes what it considers to be the importance of the continued existence and work of GWL for all women, including those with experience of seeking sanctuary, and celebrates the awarding of Library of Sanctuary status as recognition that GWL is a beloved space of welcome, dignity and hope.
