Welcoming the New Inclusive Play Park in Gretna

That the Parliament welcomes the official opening of the new inclusive play park at Central Avenue in Gretna; acknowledges the effort of the Gretna Play Park steering group, Gretna and Rigg Community Council, Sparklers nursery, Gretna Primary School, and local volunteers, in bringing this project forward; recognises the financial support from Dumfries and Galloway Council’s play park renewal fund, the coastal benefit fund, EDF Beckburn Windfarm, council developer contributions, and community fundraising efforts; believes that the £210,000 project has transformed the area into a state-of-the-art facility, designed to be accessible and enjoyable for children of all ages and abilities, and commends and thanks all involved for enhancing inclusive play opportunities in Dumfriesshire.
