That the Parliament congratulates G J Sanderson, which is a family-run butchers based in Coldstream, on being crowned the producer of the best haggis in south-east Scotland at the 2025 World Haggis Awards; believes that this highly regarded accolade reflects the team’s outstanding craftsmanship, commitment to traditional methods and deep-rooted passion for Scotland’s national dish; notes that the World Haggis Awards are held annually to celebrate excellence in haggis-making across the country and that competition in the south-east Scotland category was particularly strong this year; recognises the efforts of Graham Sanderson and his dedicated team in maintaining consistently high standards, which have earned them both local appreciation and national recognition; understands that G J Sanderson’s success is not only a source of pride for the business and its loyal customers, but also for the wider Borders community, and recognises what it sees as the importance of supporting local food producers who contribute significantly to Scotland’s rich culinary heritage and rural economy.
