That the Parliament congratulates Vincenzo’s Fish and Chips, a family-run takeaway on Cowane Street in Stirling, on its remarkable commitment to charitable giving through its latest fundraising initiative; notes that the shop held a two-day event on 11 and 12 May 2025 to raise money for Strathcarron Hospice and Stirling and District Women’s Aid, offering a special cut-price menu to encourage community participation; commends owner, Vincenzo Di Carlo, and his wife, Giuliana, for dedicating the 2025 fundraiser to the memory of Lisa McGloin, a much-loved and respected executive manager of Stirling and District Women’s Aid, who passed away earlier this year after more than 12 years of service supporting women and families affected by domestic abuse; celebrates the generous contributions of £1,041.50 to each charity, supplemented by donations of £282 and £360 respectively through charity boxes; understands that this is the latest in a series of successful fundraising efforts by Vincenzo’s, which previously raised over £1,300 for Stirling and District Women’s Aid in 2024; acknowledges the shop’s recent accolades at the Scottish Fish and Chip Awards 2024, where it won Best Fish Supper and Best Chip Shop for the Central Region, and praises the Di Carlo family, their staff, and customers for their ongoing support of vital local services and their positive impact on the Stirling community.
