That the Parliament congratulates Arsenal women’s team on winning the 2025 UEFA Women’s Champions League; understands that Arsenal beat the holders Barcelona in the final in Lisbon to win their first Women's Champions League title in 18 years; recognises the pivotal role of the team’s Scottish captain, Kim Little, who has been lauded by her teammates for her calm leadership style and positive attitude; recognises that Kim has had a highly successful 19-year career, making her Scotland international debut at 16, earning 140 caps and scoring 59 goals for her country before her retirement from international football in 2021, and at club level starting at Hibernian, having spells in the United States and Australia and most famously winning several trophies with Arsenal; celebrates that Kim’s success is to continue, as she is heading towards 400 Arsenal appearances and has signed a new deal to the end of next season; congratulates the club staff, players and supporters, and hopes that Kim and players like her continue to inspire young girls across the country to play football and reach the highest levels of the club and international game.
