That the Parliament commends Simona Minchella, owner of Buon Apetito in Falkirk, and Izzy Kerr, owner of Three Little Pigs in Falkirk, who recently held a charity fundraising ball at Grangemouth Town Hall raising £6,261, which was split between Maggie’s Forth Valley and the MS Society Scotland; understands that the event catered for 271 people, with all food and labour provided for free by Simona, Izzy and their teams from their food outlet businesses; notes that local businesses also donated prizes to be won on the night of the event to help raise funds; recognises the efforts of Simona and Izzy in bringing together an event to raise funds for two charities that are important to them, and to many others who have benefited from the support and assistance provided; further recognises the vital importance of small businesses which, it considers, are the backbone of sustainable, local economies; congratulates Simona, Izzy and all of their teams for their efforts in raising this funding for Maggie’s and the MS Society, and wishes them every success in businesses and for future fundraising activities.
